Falmouth Wireless now offers WirelessView Video Services!

The Falmouth Wireless Division of Homeland Security Wireless, Inc. now offers WirelessView Video Services as a cost effective add-on to your highspeed Wifibernet networkwork.

You choose your camera system from a selection of our proven technology, or, you use your own existing cameras and we interface them to our service.

The Falmouth Wireless system is an IP-network system with a basic capability of 18 Mbps for users. This is a professional class service with advanced features not found with cable, copper, or fiber optic services. It is secure, robust, and it is highly configurable to maximize video service that needs high bandwidth.
Because Falmouth Wireless has the highest wireless bandwidth service on Cape Cod, you can attach more cameras, making your property and person that much more secure.

WirelessView system has been derived from our work in Homeland Security with our parent Homeland Security Wireless, Inc., that has over 19 years of wireless, optic, and video system design experience.

This service is an add-on capability to the suite of services that Falmouth Wireless offers in its lineup of professional class services.
Those customers who can benefit from this service include:
  • Businesses needing protection inside and outside
  • Hotels and motels who need low cost installations inside and outside
  • Time Share condominiums that serve a lot of traffic
  • Convenience stores that need protection
  • Environments where camera sites vary or moved according to the needs
  • Seasonal businesses to protect assets
  • Marinas that have extensive outdoor assets
  • Boat owners who want to protect against "pirates"
  • Real Estate agents who need more "portable" video for showing property
  • Seasonal homeowners who want to observe their property

All systems can be set up to:

  • Record to a Digital Video Recorder or to your computer
  • Send streaming video to your Internet based computer
  • Send streaming video to your handheld PDA
  • Watch anywhere there is an Internet connection, wireless, or otherwise

Typical WirelessView systems

There are three basic approaches we take to video surveillance. There is a price difference between indoor and outdoor units, because outdoor units require weatherproof enclosures.

The camera system itself, with its optics, is where you start. All cameras are IP-cameras, that is, those that attach directly to an IP-network. They can be "hard wired" through a computer cable or connected by wireless (the safest approach). The cameras come with power over the computer cable, so much of the wiring and powering of the camera can be done in a more secure location!

Some of the typical products we like, and that are in use are shown below:

Fixed canera         Zoom lens camera    Wireless Camera   Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera

30 frames/sec       30-40 frames/sec      Used within 200'     Infra-Red and wide LUX latitude

Prices vary from  $130 to $1800, and there are probably 5000 cameras on the market these days! We help sort these out for you!

That is all you need! You hook up the camera, use your web client on your computer, and you are ready to go!

If you have an older system that uses "analog cameras", you will need an "analog to digital coverter"

Basic 4 cameras       Advanced 48+ cameras

Prices vary from $250 to $1200 (depends on the number of cameras

As you can see, using your old analog system may cost more than buying new IP-cameras.

There are the older VHS tape recorders that store video (these are really old)

You can store video on your computer (depends on your hard drive)

You can buy a Digital Video Recorder. Prices range from $800 to $5000 depending on the bells and whistles. This is the recorder of choice because the units accept analog or digital cameras and you don't need to buy a multiplxer (combiner)

The information above gives you an idea of what we see being used, and we can give you our 19+ years experience in the business.

We have professional installation services, too!
