Immune (1)

* Smart phones, PDA devices, etc. have some surfing and email capabilities if offered. Fees vary substantially, so your service provider has to be contacted.

** Cable services have various plans. There are business plans and residential plans. Business plans do not include telephone service. Consult their offerings

*** Satellite service requires a computer and antenna. Consult their offerings.

**** Copper service is the existing LEC or CLEC infrastructure. Consult their offerings

(1) Copper service varies from dialup to 45 Mbps T3 connections at significant expense. Residential DSL and Business DSL have different price structures. Consult providers who offer Internet over copper lines. DSL does not work over fiber lines. Copper wires generally are on telephone poles, and do not function if there is a disaster such as downed power lines.

(2) Performance falls off from the distance of the central Office or regenerative repeater.

Note: The opinions of performance and pricing vary according to the marketing and sales practices of the various service companies. Therefore the information is based on observations of marketing and other statements that change from time to time. The information provided here is "experiences" by users. Since Falmouth Wireless has the ability to utilize a customer's preference to carry information across the Wifibernet IP-network, the user should study the advantages of Falmouth Wireless.
